Introducing Coach Tony, the dedicated head Muay Thai instructor at Odyssey Training Center San Diego. Hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico, Tony’s journey to the ring is a testament to his tenacity and passion. With a blend of Mexican grit and Filipino heritage, his fighting style is a unique fusion of aggression and technique, honed over years of dedication.

But Tony’s story runs deeper than just punches and kicks. Raised by a single mother who juggled the responsibilities of raising six children alone, Tony learned the value of perseverance and resilience at a young age. Witnessing his mother’s unwavering strength in the face of adversity fueled his own determination to succeed.

Transitioning from traditional Mexican-style boxing to the art of Muay Thai, Tony found his calling in the ring with 40 fights under his belt and fighting and living in Thailand Tony’s journey is not just about personal glory.

Recognizing the lack of representation for Mexican fighters in the Muay Thai world, Tony has been on a mission to break barriers and pave the way for others like him.

Fluent in Spanish and proud of his Hispanic heritage, Tony embodies the fighting spirit both inside and outside the ring. 

Welcome, my name is Yajaira Sanchez. I was born and raised in San Diego CA. I specialize in helping individuals perfect their form and build strength from within. I also provide nutrition guides pertaining to your goals.

I offer classes from Monday - Thursday at 7 am (Co-Ed) & Monday - Wednesday at 7 pm (Ladies Only Classes) If you are ready to push yourself beyond your limits and be around people who want to see you succeed. Join me.

Graduated from the University Of Hawaii with a Bachelors in Kinesiology & Rehabilitative Sciences. 

Currently a four time professional champion. 3 titles in Muay Thai & a title in MMA.
